well-being & me
The dictionary definition of well-being is "the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy". Mental illness often keeps me from being in or maintaining any of these states, but I strive to find and collect the things that inspire me to create a more comfortable, healthier, and happier lifestyle. I feel silly sometimes when a cup of coffee or a video game makes me feel better, but the little things are just as valid and important as the big things and anything that makes me smile is worth it! I wanted to make a list of things, mostly related to art/entertainment, that put me in a better mood and inspire me to maintain a better lifestyle.

ReplyDeleteAnd I love that you included an Of Mice & Men song, their old singer Austin is such a nice dude!
I love the extensive list! I was shocked to find out that Keith Haring was born in PA and in a place that is fairly familiar for me. My sister went to college in Kutztown so we would flit around there and Reading whenever we would go visit her. It's funny because a lot of things on your list reminds me of my sister:)
ReplyDeleteCarson,
ReplyDeleteI will always remember just how much you brought forth to our class. You were the first to speak when all of us were so afraid to do so! I have to thank you for always breaking the ice and urging all of us to get involved.
Moreover, you are just such a kind and compassionate person, and I looked forward to having our discussions during each class period. It's nice to have finally met another commuting student and have someone to relate to in the class! I am looking forward to having you in the Education department now! Hopefully we'll have some teaching classes together in the future! You are a perfect person to become an educator, and I know your future classroom will be incredible!
Regardless, thank you for the amazing time in class! I hope you have an amazing summer and stay strong!
